Little boys are competitive. Men think about sex all the time. Such news! Ended up skimming the last two-thirds. ( ) An interesting read about human development from a neurological perspective. This one speaks particularly about the effects of hormones has on the male body from birth to old age. It help put some things in perspective, although it is rather general, since it is based on research and it necessarily flattens nuance, nevertheless, it was helpful to read. Check it out. Expected scientific explanations with generalizations to illustrate, but was far more geared toward broad generalizations vaguely correlated to science. Very limited treatment of the topic and men are relegated to a narrow range of behavior. Part of the book seems to be assuaging the guilt of parents raising unpleasant people because their children are not violent or irresponsible, they are just being male. No discussion seemed to be given regarding the variability of brains within the sexes, but I did stop reading because the book was so disappointing, and the ePub was corrupt to top it all off. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Dr. Louann Brizendine, the founder of the first clinic in the country to study gender differences in brain, behavior, and hormones, turns her attention to the male brain, showing how, through every phase of life, the "male reality" is fundamentally different from the female one.
