Bar the doors, shutter the windows, and batten down the hatches . . . Kenneth Hite is back with more proof that Everything Is A Conspiracy Waiting To Happen. This second collection of Hite's popular columns from Pyramid, our online magazine, contains just as much obscure knowledge, bizarre cross-references, and Things We Weren't Meant To Know as the first one - and it's all updated and annotated! Remember, it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you . . . whoever They are. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

The second of Hite's delightful books.
This one had a chapter of specific sf interest since it dealt with H. P. Lovecraft. Hite ponders whether Lovecraft faked his own death so he could explore the worlds, where he was from 1908-1913. We can't document his movements then -- sure we know where he says he was in his letters -- and those are the same years the protagonist of Lovecraft's "The Shadow Out of Time" spends under control of the Great Race of Yith, and Charles Dexter Ward does study the occult in Europe when he's 18-23 -- the age of Lovecraft in the missing years.
