Response - This book is suitable for grades 2-4. The setting and events are very much fantastical and whimsical. I think the moon fascinates many children, so a story about climbing to the moon is appealing. Chapters are short, and illustrations are scattered throughout, making the reading enjoyable.

Curricular connection - read aloud, reading groups

I really wanted to like this book but just couldn't get into the story. I read about halfway through the book before putting it aside. The story line was too confusing for me. I had trouble following what was happening to Paul. ( )
