Not knowing much about Harvard, its traditions, and the campus, beyond what is covered on a tour, this book may come in handy for neophytes such as I. I didn't know Harvard entertained a conservative publication but the Salient is one such source on campus. In addition, you get reviews of Harvard history, houses, architecture, clubs, and other pertinent facts about the campus. Some of the individual sections have lists of famous alums but one thing I would have appreciated is a more complete list of famous Harvard grads since that is one thing that has made the academic setting so famous. Yet, it is a good, short introduction to the college.
