Sloan was run out of town by Annie's father, the police chief on the night on the prom. The town "bad boy" joined the military, and successfully started his own security company. He returns to town when his Aunt Lydia, who raised him after his mother's disappearance, is dying. His high school girlfriend is Lydia's nurse. She married and divorced, and unbeknownst to him, her oldest is really Sloan's son. Things fall apart after Lydia's death, when Sloan confronts the police chief about his mother's disappearance. Turns out that the chief killed her, covered it up; just like he ran Sloan out of town on a rape charge. Annie's eyes are opened to the true nature of her father, and how Sloan always was the honorable man. In the end, Justin is told that Sloan is really his father and Annie & Sloan are married in Lydia's restored Wedding Garden. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

"Are You My Dad?" The young boy's question shocks Sloan Hawkins. Until Sloan realizes he is this child's father. Years ago, the former bad boy was run out of Redemption, Oklahoma, where, ironically, he was thought unredeemable. The only people who believed in him were his beloved aunt and Annie Markham, the girl he loved and left behind. Now Sloan is back to face his past and help keep his aunt's cherished garden thriving. But when he discovers his secret child--and that single mother Annie never stopped loving him-- he's determined that a wedding will take place in the garden nurtured by faith and love.
