One of the very popular Baby-Sitters' Club series, this book was written in response to the letters the author had received requesting a story dealing with the death of a classmate, and also drunk driving. This story shows the grief, and the different ways of expressing it, present in a school community following the death of a student. Mary Anne searches for a way to acknowledge and remember her friend Amelia. The story includes Mary Anne's visit to a therapist. ( ) One of my very favorite BSC books. This is a very sad book, Mary Anne's friend dies in a car crash and Mary Anne wants to do something special to remember her. I remember, after reading this book for the first time, being so upset about Amelia's death that I was actually scared to get in a car. That's how much this story affected me. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
