New edition of the well-loved children's book by Sam McBratney. A young boy fostered with a remote Irish tribe 1500 years ago becomes involved with local feuds, with the ideas of the wandering Christian missionary, and with his beloved Frann - the Chieftain's daughter. A strong story told in simple language which brings you back to Irish tribal times. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

It's not a bad read, I just didn't really feel that it was an older person speaking, maybe a slightly older than in the story person but not really an older person looking back with experience at what had gone before. Interesting and probably closer to reality than many, still treats the Paganism versus Christianity debate in a very black and white manner. ( )
