A friend (MH) sent me this book in a box of books.

I always think it is difficult to do both a romance story and a suspense story well in the length that Love Inspired Suspense allows. The suspense part of this one is interesting. The characters and situation drew me in quickly. Missy (nicknamed Mischief) is cute. I liked how the "puppy" saved them and that she knew to call 911.

However, given Ava's history, I don't see her trusting Jack Moretta as quickly or as easily as she does. I also don't find them falling in love within the time frame of this novel believable. (Infatuation yes, agreeing to date, yes, love enough to get engaged, no.) In real life, I'd worry that once the infatuation aspect of the relationship wore off or the adrenaline from the suspense part wore off that they would find they didn't feel the same way or didn't know each other the way they thought they did.… (meer)

Christmas in the Crosshairs by Deena Alexander is a novel that grabs your attention right away. I thought the story was well written with developed characters. There was plenty of suspense and action that kept things lively (and kept me turning the pages). I enjoyed the various twists and turns. It is an emotional novel. I felt for Jaelyn. Her whole life is upended. Unfortunately, her life has become a roller coaster and there are plenty of loop de loops ahead for her. Adam is trying to keep Jaelyn safe. He is unsure how much information to share with Jaelyn. He is afraid that Jaelyn will reach her breaking point. Of course, being in such close contact brings out feelings between Jaelyn and Adam. But each of them has trust issues that could mean they are not ready to have a relationship. The story will keep you guessing until the end. This was my first book by Deena Alexander. I am looking forward to reading more by this author. Christmas in the Crosshairs is a captivating tale with an unknown twin, resolute killers, a secreted infant, trust troubles, unexpected explosion, and a surprising revelation.… (meer)

Wow! The author grabbed me with a great twist right at the very beginning! I found the answers to all of this went very deep, and actually very sad.

There is so much action and a baby becomes the center to helping. Jaelyn is loved in this small town, and when she is thought to be injured, but people are soon seeing double.

Enter Adam Spencer, a man whom has had his life destroyed, but still willing to help, and feeling he could have done more.

Can you imagine finding a baby in a locked closet? Well yes, a beautiful baby girl, but why would anyone do that. Answers come along with more questions, but yes, sadly we do get most questions answered.

I did love the epilogue!

An action-packed romantic suspense page-turner. I really enjoyed Crime Scene Connection it was a fast-paced read. This is a new to me author and I look forward to reading more by her. This is a story about author; Addison Keller who writes suspense, and now she learns that a serial killer is imitating murders from her books. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a suspenseful action-packed page-turner.
