Overall this book contains very good descriptions of the accident, the investigation, and the people involved. Some of the sourcing in later chapters got a bit iffy (directly quoting a rail blog that didn’t seem authoritative, other quotes just from websites) or maybe it was just how the sources were treated in text that threw me off. “According to So-and-So on Railblog.com…”sounds a bit less than solid for an argument. But I’m glad this book was written—I knew nothing of the Waverly train disaster before reading it so I learned quite a lot!… (meer)
