I read this book to my 5-year-old neighbor, Everleigh. She would probably give this one 4 stars, as she stated, "I like it because the yucky parts were funny." Those yucky parts were the same reason that this book ranks only 2 stars for me, so I averaged our ratings for this review. I imagine most kids will enjoy the funniness and yuckiness of this book; grown-ups will just have to decide if they can stomach reading it to their kids!

This book was fun. It is a fun way to introduce problem solving skills.It was colorful and entertaining. It could also be used to talk about collects also. The author was also the illustrator and her back ground in off beat art truely shows in the pictures.½

Prudy likes to collect everything and her family and friends think she has a problem. Prudy disagrees until finally comes to the realization that she does have too many collections. Her family and friends help her find use for all the collections. This is a great book to use as a read aloud or incorporate into a lesson.

I wonder how many people have collections in the world. Prudy has a collection of all sorts of things. Her collection was so big that her entire room exploded! Prudy's family and friends actually tried to get her to get rid of most of her things because she had so much stuff. Prudy did not want to get rid of anything because all of it had a special meaning to her. Everyone was telling her she had a problem to solve since she so many things and could not fit inside her room. Prudy searched long and hard to find a solution to a problem she did not realize she had until her room exploded. One day, after much research, Prudy thought she should build her very own museum to hold all of her collections. Once the museum was finished, all of her collections were neatly organized and easily admired by her friends and family. It is very important to never let anyone discourage you from doing something that makes you happy like a hobby for example. Prudy had to build a museum and organize her things in order for others to understand and appreciate her collection.
