The author served in Congress from 1975 to 1987, being re-elected five times and receiving, in a normally Republican district, over 60% of the vote. He points out that 1% of Americans have 42% of the wealth in the USA, and rightly feels such is not a healthy situation. He also makes a convincing case for greater use of renewable energy so as to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, As i read the book I wished he was still our Congressman, even though he is now 90 years old.
