Just what I needed! This book is a real inspiration for ALL authors. New writers who are struggling with how to get started,
seasoned authors when they hit a bad spot where they feel they need new direction, or any writer, really, who needs a jump start in the motivation department.
This is definitely a book to keep in your library, in a spot where you will have it at your fingertips. The weekly tips, affirmations, and suggestions, are all inspiring!
Highly recommend this one for anyone even thinking about writing, and for all writers no matter how experienced. (great Christmas gift if you have a wannabe writer on your list)… (meer)

This book is best suited to novice authors. If you're just starting out, you'll find some helpful information here. Established authors who have already published probably won't find much of use.

The tips are obvious, such as building a website, blogging, and interacting on social media. We're told that reviews are important, which most writers know, but we're not given much advice on how to find reviewers quickly and easily. The tips are broad, such as exchanging reviews with other authors or asking family and friends. When it comes to finding non-writing readers to review your book, there is no advice offered.

Some of the promotion tips at the end of the book are more specific, though they aren't anything new or especially helpful to most of us.

Overall, I'd only recommend this book if you're new to publishing and need some tips on how to get started.… (meer)
