While this book has a lot of great prayers that are not easily found elsewhere, there are problems. For example, while the prayers of St. Bridget are approved, the promises are not. There are also prayers that have stories attached to them, and some contradict each other (such as the number of blows Jesus' body suffered). My suggestion is that you stick to approved prayers and not put too much stock in the backstories.

Other primary sources include her office, manuscripts, houses she lived in, and more. The book is written for middle school students through college. This source includes extensive notes and bibliography as well as an index.… (meer)
