A good entertaining read. The critique at the end was a little thin, I was left wanting it to be a little bit more than it was, but I still liked it, and enjoyed the social commentary aspects of it. The concept was clever and complex.
This confessional story resonates today with the arrival of prominent politicians, celebrities, and journalists who have loose affiliations with the truth. The acceptance of lies and spin has become so prevalent that people hardly even notice them anymore. As Javier notes, the people who believe these lies and the media that propagate them are complicit. He learned a valuable lesson by having his own morality questioned in a public forum. Yet, one wonders whether such exposure remains an effective means for change in our current landscape.… (meer)
