Ugh, what a snooze. It reinforced my childhood opinion that Harlequin has the worst cover designs, dated and old-fashioned at the time of their making (and Mills & Boon little better). Virtually no information about the cover artists themselves (imagine writing a book about fantasy illustration and not referencing the artists!) Despite decades of covers to pick from, in one instance they used the same cover twice (albeit in Greek and English language versions, which may have confused the compiler, I hesitate to say 'author').

Aside from seeing some rarer examples of cover art from their earliest days, this entire endeavour could be superceded by going to a used book store and looking at covers. There is no value-added in this book, very little text, and no apparent method to the madness other than a chronological approach. Also, over the years, very little changed until quite recently ... which is the time period given the shortest shrift.

(Note: 5 stars = amazing, wonderful, 4 = very good book, 3 = decent read, 2 = disappointing, 1 = awful, just awful. I'm fairly good at picking for myself so end up with a lot of 4s). I feel a lot of readers automatically render any book they enjoy 5, but I grade on a curve!… (meer)
