This storytime programming book provides several detailed ideas for story times. It begins with an introduction explaining why the book is set up as it is. It then gives ideas for promoting and planning storytime programs. Each subsequent section presents a different story time theme. The themes include farms, the jungle, the beach, pets, and more. Nametag sketches are provided for each section. Prop and snack ideas are given as well. There are pages upon pages of songs, fingerplays, craft ideas, activities to improve gross motor skills, math and science skills, and fine motor skills. Long lists of books that fit each theme are provided at the end of every section. Blank patterns are provided at the end of each section that can be copied and used for coloring, watercolor painting, making stick puppets, and making nametags. There are 13 themes presented. There is plenty of information provided for each theme to allow for more than one story time program on each theme.
