This book goes through actions that are found while working in the kitchen. For example chop, simmer, cut, etc.. each accompanied by a picture. This book in my opinion os good for anyone, including me while trying to learn some kitchen lingo.

Teaching Ideas: get a recipe and find out what you will have to do in it and associate the actions with the words in the book

This is a cute book! It has an illustration on each page followed by one word describing what is being done in the illustration (such as "bake", "knead", "chop", "simmer", etc). This would be a great book to read to any toddler, especially since they can associate the word to the action being done in the illustration.

Children imagine their future careers as a fireman, an archaeologist, a chef, and others.
