An autobiographic chicklit. This book reminds me of The Devil Wears Prada but this time it’s about a trainee lawyer, Felice, who starts work in a big law firm in the department of Employment Law. The book gives an account of her work for a horrible person and everything she has to endure. For example, she has no free time, not even in the weekend, she doesn’t get any appreciation for her work and moreover, her work is barely looked at and crossed out with so much red biro that nothing seems to be withheld from the original text, if and when her patron takes the time to look at her work that is.. She’s her boss’ little servant, and is obliged to get her patron coffee and sparkling water all the time.. This book was an easy summer read. Felice is not dumb and works really hard but life still doesn’t treat her nice. The author really did work in this law firm so it’s autobiographic. It’s even more funny because I know this firm.… (meer)
