Anne Burton (1) (1922–1985)

Better than the previous one by this author. A wealthy industrialist dies intestate, and neglects to provide for a young protege. His family refuse to help. Then one of them is murdered. The young man is the obvious suspect, but there are plenty more waiting to be discovered. Set in London in the 1980s.

I enjoyed this one about a banker who become involved in a murder investigation. A client names him as her executor and after her murder, he gets interested in discovering who killed her. Not the best in this short series. I felt it left a lot unexplained, and didn't set the characters for the series very well.
