I finished out the #LoveWins series by Ana Byrde and I enjoyed this series more than I expected too. The characters were all very likeable and it was a fun read.

12 Days of Gay was the final installment of the series. It does not have physical version, I listened to it on audible. It is a Christmas story about two men who pair together for a video contest. The one thinks the other dislikes him but reality is he has a lot going on in his life and secretly likes the other the entire time. I’m not usually a fan of the holiday books, it’s a common theme in a lot of series where they feel they need to write one about the holidays but this one was okay. It flowed nicely and wrapped up the series well.

Game, S*x, Match was a unique story of two online friends who end up meeting in real life and compete in a series of competitive games for a cash prize. The one online friend knows that the other is his ex but doesn’t he keeps it hidden for fear of losing his online friend since their relationship years previous did not end well. This was a funny storyline and very lighthearted. The two main characters are interesting and this one was one of my favorites of the series.

Straight as a Cucumber was a fun story about a straight college guy who takes in his best friends little brother as a roommate. The little brother is gay and has secretly crushed on him for years. In the end he realizes he’s not as straight as he seems and he comes to build a relationship with his friend’s brother and faces several challenges along the way.

I’m combining these two as they were on the shorter side and I’m getting through the series fairly quickly. Ana Byrde’s #LoveWins series was recommended to me by Audible so I decided to give it a shot. I don’t mind a good LGBTQ+ Rom Com.
Fake the Date and Hook, Line, & Sinker are the first two books of the series. They have repeating characters and a chronological storyline so it’s not hard to follow. Each book so far explores different angles of the gay / bi community and the challenges they face which I support as representation in the community can be scarce.
The characters also have pets that are an integral part of the story and add an extra special charisma to this series.
Byrde does a good job at keeping things light and the characters likeable. The comedy is not too overdone and the storylines are believable. I will plan to finish books 3-5 in April.

This was the Jake and Conner story I've been waiting for, and I was NOT disappointed!!!

The fourth installment of the Mercy Hills Pack series is long on pack politics but a bit short on romance. One rather wishes Holland's story could be told in one complete volume, as I forgot quite a bit of his origin story by the time I read this. 3.5 stars rounded up.

I'll be honest this is not my type of book, and I read it for a reading challenge. Though I found it challenging to truly get into it, I do think the author did a great job with developing characters and the world they live in. For the right person, this book is likely to hit the spot.

Color me intrigued.

This book has left me with a bit of a dilemma. I honestly didn't mind it, and the low star-rating has more to do with the fact that I felt there were chunks missing in the world this story was set in. If you are creating a world of Alphas & Omegas that has nothing to do with shifters of any kind, at least give us some world-building as to what the differences are, what exactly it means to be either, are there males that are neither and, oh yes, what about the females? Personally I find all of this rather crucial, particularly as the authors allude towards certain characteristics in both the alphas and the omegas. To just know that omegas can fall pregnant and are basically seen in society as "home-wreckers", "sluts" and monikers like that is really not sufficient to base a story (or a series) on.

It's really unfortunate, as the story was otherwise quite interesting and well-written. The characters were intriguing and multi-layered. I just had the feeling at times that if you changed Eli's gender to a female you would have a better story :(

Nice story

Lovely second chance story plus a secret baby. Nice to see the couple fighting through obstacles and breaking with expectations and busting stereotypes to get their love.

Sweet story

All the books in this series are very sweet with a great Romance in them. I really enjoy reading them.

Cute

This is a cute little story. I really liked Lucas and Adam and how they were friends before they were anything else. Very sweet!

This was a lovely little second chance story. It really pulled at my heartstrings because of the way the guys broke up before and how much it hurt them both and how much it really devastated them.

It was a pleasant read though.

This was a lovely story. Rhys comes home after leaving his husband and then finds out he's pregnant. He also starts working as a nanny for Ethan, his childhood crush. Ethan turns out to be really attracted to Rhys. The thing is, there are things from both of their pasts which may break their burgeoning relationship.

I loved Rhys and how good he was with Nathan and Caleb through a really difficult time. Those poor boys has been through so much stuff and Rhys gives him the support that they need. It's beautiful.

I loved Ethan's grandmother, sometimes. There were a few times when she got on my last nerve, but overall, she was funny af.

True love wins out

Duke and Bram are a great match, even if it took them a hot minute and some interference to get there. I'm glad they figured it out.

Interesting

I really like Laine and Garrick, but even more than that, I like all the everything that is going around the story. It just makes everything better.

Nice story

Good second chance story. Gotta love Great Grandma, she's a serious trip and a half. I like how Raph and Nate flip the script on alphas and Omegas.

Wonderful Felix

I love how Felix is so lovely and calm and peaceful. He just arranges things so that they work the way he wants, but not in a manipulative way.

I love a bundle

It was nice to have the stories all in one place, and the extras were really nice to read to get another look at the world.

So many changes

This book brought a lot of changes to the enclaves, and I think it's fascinating to read all the politics and cultural stuff around everything.

Enjoyable series

This whole series is really enjoyable. I am actually bouncing around in it, but that's ok, I still really enjoy it and the overall story.
