Kathy Cano-Murillo is a multitalented writer and designer. She credits her husband Patrick for introducing her to their shared Mexican-American culture. Together they run Los Mestizos, a business creating Chicano folk art. Her work has been carried in hundreds of shops and museum stores and has toon meer been featured in national publications, including Sunset magazine, Gourmet magazine, and Latina magazine. She is a journalist for the Arizona Republic newspaper, writing about movies, music, and pop culture, and producing a weekly craft column that's carried in newspapers nationwide. She appears weekly on a television morning show demonstrating home decor ideas and also maintains her crafting Web site, CraftyChica.com. Kathy was one of "10 Latinas to Watch" in the July 2001 issue of Latina magazine. toon minder
