Well, DNF. I got to 45%, ten chapters in, just past the first sex scene, and just can't with this one.

I liked the characters, but they're too shallow. And, even though there are only three of them, twice a wrong name was used. That's always jarring, and a red flag for poor editing. The second time was at the inception of the sex scene--which was chaotic. Nice emotions, but the actions were blurred and confusing in 'anatomy doesn't work that way' ways.

Anyway, I didn't sign up to rewrite this in my head. The author's Goodreads profile is minimal and relatively new. So there's hope for later work, but this book doesn't encourage me to bother.

It was better than I expected, I liked the relationship even if it was kind of rushed

Wowzers. This had some HEAT! Rip and Mars are best friends. They've been through a lot together and have shared many "benefits" over the years. Mars isn't the type to settle down, though, so they've never become more than friends. After moving to Seattle to help Rip's aunt, Mars meets nerdy, inexperienced Clark. There is something about him and despite not really thinking of it, they begin dating. Of course, the drama slightly ramps up when Clark realizes that Mars' best friend is the bully who caused Clark a lot of trauma in high school.

I liked that the past wasn't brushed off. The book acknowledged and helped Clark work through his issues with Rip. Rip was remorseful and I thought this was well written. When it finally came time for the 3 guys to get together, I thought the pacing was perfect and made total sense. They were so great together and I really enjoyed this. I was rooting for them all the way.

Steamy book about established couple Demir and Marco who finds and falls for Grayson. It was a nice MMM story. I loved that Grayson was trans and how it was written. Tried to really focus on respect. Enjoyable story and super hot.

Hot. Hot. Hot. Franklin was a total sweetheart, Rory was a perfect caretaker, and Asher was a great light in their life. Separately they were enjoyable and relatable characters, but together they were electric and dynamic. I loved reading about them coming together and finding happiness. I really liked this book.

I accidentally read this before the first book in the series. While it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book, I do wish that I had read that one first just because I enjoyed it as much as I liked this one. Regardless, the reading order wasn’t a deal breaker for me to really enjoy this.

We met Leo briefly in the first book when his brother fell in love with his childhood best friend. Leo is very anti-relationship and wants nothing to do with second nights. When his other BFF/work and business partner/roommate (Kai) invites his twin brother (River) to stay with Leo and Kai for a while, Leo thinks nothing of it. He’s never been attracted to Kai and doesn’t do relationships which River does too many of. No worries at all, right? Call Leo surprised when he wants River more than he ever thought possible.

River and Leo were great together. Leo helped River see what a healthy relationship was like, and River helped Leo see that letting your guard down wasn’t always a bad thing. There was more drama between Kai and the boys than there were between Shawn/Cass and Leo, but they all worked everything out beautifully.

Another super sweet and great book.

I got the sequel to this book first, so I was intending to read this before that one so I could enjoy it more. Well, I ended up forgetting the order and read that one first. I liked Cass and Shawn in that book, and almost didn’t read this because I already saw them together and didn’t feel the rush to know more. I ended up reading it anyway, though, and I was really glad I did.

Cass and Shawn were such sweet characters. Both of them had this really kind and thoughtful way about them, and they were such a great fit. I really enjoyed reading their story and seeing how they got together.

So I thought the blurb did a great job of us seeing who Frances is, but I was not prepared for how much I didn't like Dante and Striker in the beginning. The first quarter-third of the book really had me frustrated, and I didn't really enjoy the story or the characters. Dante and Striker were horrible communicators. They were clearly in love with each other, but to let things go as far as it did with them getting together with Frances was pretty annoying. As for Frances, I actually liked him. He was searching for a way to break out of his comfort zone, and getting together with Dante and Striker did that for him. Once Dante and Striker finally started communicating and acting like adults, I started to like them better. I thought that the three of them together were a great match. They settled each other by the end of the book. I did like the story, but I could've done without the beginning bit. This was a 3.5 star read for me.

Clark dealt with a bully in his early teenage years. It really affected him, and even now, years later, he has a hard time getting out and meeting people. Then he meets Mars, who is hot like fire, and a playboy, but who still wants to see Clark. The one drawback is that Mars' buddy is a flashback.

I really like seeing Rip's backstory. It shows why he did some of the things that he did. It also showed how he changed and grew. It also shows who Mars is and why they are so tight and connected.

I think this is the best one in the series.

A little fast

I felt like the relationship was rushed and that we didn't get a.really good look at any of the guys, and a lot of things were just glossed over.

I love Asher. I think that he is working hard to be a better person than he was before. Not that he was every a really bad guy, mostly he was just hanging out with the wrong people. I mean, don't get me wrong, he knew that he was probably doing not good things, but they weren't as bad as they could be.

I think that Franklin and Rory were the perfect people for Asher. They had that Daddy vibe down from the very beginning, and the love that they already had for each other wasn't diminished in any way by adding Asher into their dynamic. All in all, I really enjoyed this story and their relationship.

OMG, the love in this one, it is sooooo awesome! Ezra, Irving, and Brick are just so special together, and the way that they connect and take care of each other is just something so beautiful and so sweet, and not something that you see in every story out there.

I love Ezra and his enthusiasm and his love for everything and how he is just so optimistic and wants to make everyone so wonderful. How he drags in Brick and how he gets Irving out of himself is just so great. He has such a sweet heart and is the total emotion in their relationship.

Irving is very astute and has a lot of insight into what's going on in his world and with the men that he cares for. He is very logical and is definitely the problem-solver in their trio. He also cares very deeply about everything.

Brick's protective instincts are so strong that he just wants to make sure that everyone he cares about is safe, ad he is willing to do all kinds of things to make sure that they are safe.

I love how Ezra and Irving are together. They love each other, they are boyfriends, they are so tactile, and even if they have some issues with bedroom things, they do what they can to make each other feel good, and they both they know that they love each other. That love doesn't exclude Brick though. They are happyy to have him right there with them.

I'm giving this a 3.5.

Striker and Dante are volatile together. They each have issues with their anger, and even though they dearly love each other, they have issues. I think they should've gone to some couples counseling and learned how to argue without hurting each other. They definitely need some individual therapy as well.

Frances is a pretty sweet guy who is a little stuck in his life. But, I think that he's really caring and overall just a nice guy. Then he wants to get a tattoo and he helps a guy who is stuck. Both events let him meet two hot guys, and have interludes with each of them.

Overall, I liked the book. The biggest problem I had with it is that it acted like Frances was the perfect thing to fix all of Dante and Striker's relationship woes. I think that they should've taken a little more time there, before they jump into anything.

I love the whole Rebels/Nerds thing going on in here. It's a lot of fun to play with stereotypes and expectations the way that R. Cayden does. The characters are really well-written and pretty fully formed, in my opinion.

I love Malcolm and his just total sweetness. Gunner has some toughness, but he has a sweet and gooey center, especially for Malcolm. Because, really, who wouldn't?

Then there's Maddox, who really likes his cute boys, and wants to make sure that they are all OK.

I would give a lot to get another book with these 3.

Lawrence is just a cute guy, a teeny tiny impulsive and self-destructive, but so sweet. He just wants to make everyone happy, and he's even willing to do it at the risk of doing damage to himself, sometimes. He didn't always value himself as highly as Cash and Raiden value him, but I think that he's been hurt so much that it's hard to actually value himself.

I think that Raiden has a great heart and is really loyal, and when he keeps his temper under control, he's so good for Lawrence and Cash. I like him a lot.

Cash is an interesting character, and he's a lot of fun too.

I think that these guys are so perfect for each other.

I love the R Cayden GFY books. OK, I love R Cayden books, full stop. I love Shawn and Cass's story. I loved how it worked for them, and it was a really easy progression for Cass. It didn't seem like he had a lot to have to fight with, it was just a normal thing for him.

Shawn's brother was a little annoying though.

I thought that Leo and River were really good for each other. Leo did help River to be more independent and to stand on his own without needing a man to prop him up. I thought that he did it really well, without pushing River, just giving him the support and encouragement that he needed.

I understand why Kai was upset, but I think that he should've listened to what everyone had to say before he jumped right into anger.

Dante and Striker love each other, but their relationship is volatile. Should they keep fighting for each other, or just give up? In steps Frances, a complete surprise. Finally, something they can agree on, but is this right for them? A good story, I liked the characters but would have loved to know more about them all. Happy for Frances!

I enjoyed this new to me author. Both Xavier and Dominick are very likable characters. This was a nice, low angst romance.
