I enjoyed this story for many reasons, the first reason being the illustrations. They were very simple yet showed emotion accurately with each question presented. “Why are umbrellas black?” a young boy asked with the look of confusion on his face and his hands ruffling his hair. This is just one of the examples the illustrator used to represent and portray emotions within the story. The final reason I liked this story was for the fact that it gave the readers answers to simple questions that everyone has wondered in their lifetime. One question I have always wondered that the author answered in a swift manner was why blood is red. “There is iron in blood. That makes it red” is a short answer that goes straight to the point. It is easy to understand and gains the reader’s attention. The main message of this story is providing new information to questions most people wonder about every day.… (meer)
