Good in that it has clear pictures and descriptions of all the most common Dim Sum dishes you might encounter, and tells the reader whether they are suitable for people who don't eat pork, or eggs, or meat/shellfish or for those with a peanut allergy. The author gives an interesting account of the history of these 'small' dishes, and about how they are made, and she de-mystifies the way tea is chosen, presented and enjoyed at the same time. The one weakness of the book is the comments about each dish made by Western students of the author's, which range from inane to pointless and add nothing to the book at all. However I have not come accross another book on the same subjuct so this is far better than nothing.… (meer)
