Well written, and I loved how real the characters were. April's approach to being a Mistress made me a bit uncomfortable, but only because she had the new-dom's belief that to show vulnerability or not be a bitch would made her less of a dom. The relationship between April and Dean is beautiful, and I really enjoyed seeing both of them grow in their knowledge of themselves.

I found the ending very sad. Maybe its because every part o fmy life I've left behind has been something I was better off without, but the way April just turns her back on Dean and her own dominance while a part of her still wants them in her life...she may say she's happy with her life and her dom, but that certainly isn't the feeling I get as the last page closes. And I really would have liked one more scene from Dean's point of view, something more than just abandoning him to carry her punishment with no idea what his life is like, if he is pining for her, if he is happy with his new mistress.

One of the better kinky/femdom books I've read, but I like my books to have happy endings, and for me, this one wasn't.… (meer)
