As stand alone pieces I found the short stories intriguing. There were some pieces where felt the endings could have been improved upon, it seemed the story just ended with a simple sentence or two. As a collection the beginning stories appeared a bit repetitive. Some of the same descriptions for characters were used across multiple settings and didn't add much to the overall collection for me. Like many short story collections, I found myself connecting to some story lines more than others. I enjoyed how just enough information was provided in each story to reach back into previous ones and close the loop.… (meer)
