This book was a quick read about the importance of serving visual-spatial learners. Think of this as a really great chapter in a college textbook on differentiation. This helps teachers understand and "reach" visual-spatial teachers. I will use several of the strategies in this book in my own classroom. There are many specific examples on how to accommodate your curriculum to build on the strengths of students who are visual-spatial learners that will allow them to experience success in this classroom. As a middle school teacher of 15 years, I feel comfortable recommending this book (be aware that it's a quick read, about 39 pages without the great resource list at the back of the book) if you are looking for strategies to reach students who are less than enthusiastic about more traditional learning tasks and assignments.… (meer)

Serving Visual-Spatial Learners by Steve V. Coxon, Ph.D. Prufrock Press, Inc. 2013 ISBN-13: 978-1-618-21-047-0.

He goes on to make connections within career fields and academic subjects to activities that challenge spatially gifted people. The book ends with a nice list of resources that visual-spatial learners may be interested in participating in to include software, games, building toys and more.… (meer)

An excellent resource for educators. I have used this book to help me understand my students who are visual-spatial learners, and to create accommodations in my classroom for them without disrupting other learners!
