- Seán Cronin (1920-2011) was an Irish journalist and author. During World War Two he was an Officer in the Irish Army and later joined the Irish Republican Army (IRA) for whom he would also act as Chief of Staff. He was jailed for these activities and then broke with the organisation. Later in the US he worked as a journalist with the Irish Times newspaper as its Washington correspondent.

A Perfect Double: A Breken Annersen Mystery door Sean Cronin
Nice thriller that moves right along, with some twists and turns. Protagonist is interesting with a twist--she worries about being too skinny and flat-chested. Reporter for a gossip mag, she moves among the rich and famous. Sidekick photographer is interesting as well, and romance raises its head. Her mother's annoyingly funny/awful (via phone). Mystery's compelling. The writing's not bad, but could definitely use a good copy editor. Couple of continuity problems, but not enough to spoil the tale. Mystery/thriller fans will definitely enjoy.… (meer)
