The story is very good and heart warming. it is about D'Antonio and her husband going to china to adopt a baby girl, She talks about how they vistied all around china and the are that she was born Ningbo, They talked about how they were not the only american family there adopting kids and showed a group photo of all the families.
This book was about Adoption. It talk about a girl named Xiangwei, she was from China. A couple family from America went to China to adopt the little girl.
This is an excellent example of an informational book on the international adoption of a young Chinese girl by her American parents. It is the true story of one families journey, and describes intercontinental flights, travel in China, and the adoption process. The photographs are of the actual family and compliment the information well.
"Our Baby from China" is one family's story of adopting a Chinese girl. Although the content is interesting, it reads like a personal scrapbook and is full of family photos. It gives a good inside perspective on the adoption process, but seems to have been written for the adopted girl, Ariela Xiangwei, rather than for a public audience. As a book for adopted children, I feel it is lacking because it focuses so much on experiences specific to this family. If you happen to have adopted from China, this might be a good book to share with your child.… (meer)
