Belle is called upon to keep Alexander happy. Alexander has a secret, which has to do with Belle relatives from the past. They were witches and put a spell on the shape shifting Alexander. Alexander just wants to be a little normal and not have to wear the talisman all the time.

When Belle finds out what her father has done and why they are about to lose her mother’s company she calls her sister to enlist their help. But not before she and Alexander have acted upon the chemistry that they have for one another. Belle would do anything to keep her mother’s company intact and not lose it.Alexander just wants her ancestor’s diary and spells to free him of the curse that doesn’t allow him to shift at will. Though out the ordeal they have plenty of hot sex which is a basis for what ends up happening.

Sometimes we don’t have control over which fate sends for us to fall in love with. Sometimes even though family should be the stronger hold on us, we can’t quite help that love overtakes those ties with family.

This story had so much potential but left me wanting or needing to know more. Ms. Derek wrote this much like a beauty and the beast type of story. Likable but missing something.… (meer)
