This book would be great for Primary readers
The book has few words and goes through a child's day playing out in the snow making dinosaurs
This book would be a good one to have in a library for some earlier grades. The text is simple to read and would be an enjoyable book for young children.

Great book for asking questions, analyzing, and making inquiries with kids about what will happen next and making noticing's and observations about the pictures and what kind of dinosaurs they are as well as the different mis - observations or hypothesis' that are or were made in the book. This is a good turn and talk book.

I would recommend this book to younger elementary students. This is a wordless book that goes through the story of a snow day and shows an adventure of trying to find dinosaurs buried in the snow, but they are just cars, bikes, and trash cans, except the last one was actually a dinosaur. This would be good in the classroom because it shows a fantasy story and is wordless so students can use their imagination to fill in the blanks of the story.

This book is super cute for children to guess what might be in the snow. Could it be a dinosaur? I love the relations the little boy and his dog have plus their love for dinosaurs.

A boy and his dog love dinosaurs, they go around thinking they see dinosaurs in the snow. They give up, thinking there's no dinosaurs and one comes chasing after them.

I could use this to talk about snow days and dinosaurs.

Cute little story about the making of dinosaur toys for Christmas. I love that it actually has pronunciations and descriptions of the different dinosaurs. The story, however, was a little boring. 3 stars

I really enjoyed the history of the magazine and the cartoons and what it takes to get a cartoon published.

SUMMARY
A boy and his dog dress as dinosaurs for Halloween and go trick or treating. As they are traveling, the run into a friend and ask him to join them. Suddenly the group is approached by a group of boys, who force the masks off of the boy and his dog, When they take the mask off of their new friend they find that it is a dinosaur. The dinosaur calls all of his dinosaur friends and scares them off.

REVIEW
This story has very little dialogue or text. I think I liked it so much because there were a lot of pages that simply had illustrations. I would love to see what would happened if I covered up the text in the story and let the students make a story based on the illustrations. The story is silly and fun which makes it very appropriate for the young age group. Students will definitely find humor in watching a boy and his dog wear dinosaur masks and then run into a dinosaur without realizing it actually is a dinosaur.

This book is super cute! The language and sentences are simple like, “ Now don’t be scared. It’s only Halloween,” however, the illustrations are adorable. They are drawn in a cartoon-like manner and are very engaging for kids. I feel that a lot of children could connect to this book because the little boy dresses his dog up for Halloween, too! I know that when I was a child, I always wanted to dress my puppy up and bring her trick-or-treating with me. The boy and his dog decided to dress up as dinosaurs for Halloween but got made fun of for still trick-or-treating. I really appreciated that in the back of the book, the author included a glossary of types of dinosaurs for the children to read after the book is completed. The main message of this book was to do what makes you happy, and be happy with who you are.

The concept is fun and the cartoons range from the eye-rollingly lame to the run-into-the-other-room-brandishing-the-book hilarious. There are a lot of "typical" New Yorker cartoons, of course. It's well worth picking up and leafing through, though I don't think I'd read it more than once.

A little boy and his dog go to the beach and build a sand dinosaur. Then they meet a dinosaur that takes them across the ocean to the dinosaur beach where they play and learn about all the different dinosaurs. This is a good book to teach about punctuation including exclamation points, question marks, ellipses, and quotation marks.

A boy and his dog Bones go to the beach, and the boy sculpts a dinosaur in the sand. Someone screams "shark" and everyone runs but the boy thinks that it looks like a dinosaur, so the boy and his dog go to Dinosaur Beach. This is a good book that expresses imagination.

A brutally funny collection of over 200 cartoons penned by The New Yorker’s cartooning couple, Liza Donnelly and Michael Maslin, Cartoon Marriage is its authors’ candid celebration of twenty years of matrimony, in twelve chapters. Armed with wits shining like sharp knives—from “I Do?” to “Hearth Happenings,” and everything in between (“The Little Darlin’s,” “Ex-Whatevers,” “Obsessions and Possessions,” “Friends Furry,” and so on)—Donnelly and Maslin cut straight to the nature of desire (“It won’t work if I tell you what I want, because if I tell you what I want I won’t want it anymore”), and the order of romance (“I’d like you to consider changing your morning routine of patting me and kissing the dog goodbye”), with a pinch of self-mockery and a good dose of uproarious truth along the way.

While thoroughly gratifying the natural voyeur, the book is also must-have for historians of The New Yorker, who will appreciate the frequent references to fellow funnyfolk Richard Cline, Jack Ziegler, Mick Stevens, Peter Steiner, Roz Chast, and of course, the venerated James Thurber.
I also can’t help but mention Random House’s timely January ’09 release: Cartoon Marriage knocks every Valentine’s Day card out of the block.

This book is about a boy who wants to grow a dinosaur garden. He plants a dinosaur bone and it turns into a jungle filled with dinosaurs. This would be a good book for a unit dealing with dinosaurs. I would teach it to younger children because this would be an easy book to read to the whole classroom.

This cartoon collection is very uneven. While there are a number of very funny contributions (Roz Chast's in particular), most of the cartoons are worth a smile at best, and many aren't funny at all.½
