Didn't like this book at all. The author made it clear from the start which characters we were supposed to dislike--no subtlety there. In fact, all the characters were generally unlikeable to me. Predictable ending. Wouldn't read this author again.

This book has a juicy, Desperate Housewives-meets-murder mystery concept: five cosseted housewives, one dead husband, one smoking gun, and lots of secrets.

Abby Drake does a good job bringing the Wisteria Lane-like town of New Falls to life, replete with rich women who have too much time on their hands and are therefore glad to have a mystery: who killed Vincent DeLano?

Surprisingly, the pacing dragged for the first half of the book, then picked up speed near the ending. I was disappointed with the ending, but enjoyed the fun glimpse into a gossipy, privileged world.
