When we read this story to our little ones they go to sleep really easily. It's a nice little book with lovely pictures and some simple poems. The author was inspired by another book called 'The Rabbit Who wants to fall asleep' and wrote this book about a girl kitten because she has three daughters. She uses pretty much the same psychological sleep methods that are used in the Rabbit book, and they work!

Finally, The Magic Colours by Cecilia Egan tells a traditional aboriginal story of how birds got their colors. On black, glossy pages, the left side features white text encircled by traditional geometric patterns, with illustrations on the right side--again what looks like chalk or crayon sketches in a brilliant palette of colors.
