A fun run through the alphabet has cute little poems and terrific pictures for each letter. This just makes me happy.

"B is for Bears: Some bears growl, / Some bears snort, / But Pooh Bear is / The humming sort."

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

The Pooh friends are angry when Eeyore's fake news about sunny days being earthquake weather causes them to spend the morning hiding under a bridge. Eeyore diverts their wrath by playing the sympathy card, saying no one ever showed him how to be happy. The friends tire themselves out trying to cheer Eeyore up then leave him alone so he can be his gloomy self again in peace. Positively Machiavellian.

I have such a weakness for Pooh, I cannot help but forgive the many comic strip gags reprinted here that are so generic they could easily appear in Beetle Bailey or Garfield. There are still several that are spot on, and I can hear the characters' voices in my head. An abbreviated adaptation of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh film via the strip's Sunday pages is a nice little bonus in the back of the book.

This is a very old book, that uses Disney characters to teach kids the alphabet in a fun way. As a writing prompt, I feel the kids can always make up their own letter explanations and teach them in a fun way in their own book. They can use people from their community or a different set of cartoon characters and make the same book with the same premise.

I loved this book for a few reasons. First the writing in the book with the quotes are the same as the movie and this is the only book based off the movie with many of the same quotes in it. The pictures are also like the scenes in the move and it is like you’re watching the movie in a condensed from of a picture book. The plot is also engaging with a lot of suspense and adventure throughout the story. The book was made for the children who love the movie and have them read it in a book form. I have always loved book and The Lion King is my Favorite Movie Ever!

The characters of One Hundred Acres are showing each other what they enjoy about living to cheer their friend Eeyore up.

I have always felt a kinship with Eeyore, even though I have never read the original Winnie The Pooh books. Eeyore tends always be depressed, he still tried to do what each friend found happy in their own life to see if it made him happy.

The fact that Eeyore is always sad does make me sad as well. He deserves at least something that gives him a smile. Which I have seen this little donkey do in the cartoons. The books I have read... not so much.

I think any story with Eeyore is a big bonus. Eeyore brings a little realism by showing everyone that feelings are experienced differently by others.

A colorful and endearing book, filled with familiar faces for many adults. This alphabet book goes through a series of events and scenes where Pooh and the residents of the hundred acre wood show things or activities that start with a particular letter. Excellent for reading time or before bed.

As alphabet books go, this is a pretty good one. I can do a pretty good Winnie the Pooh voice and my son always laughs when I do. This book is really good for reading out loud and invited roleplaying and pretending while learning the fundamental letters of the alphabet.

Not much to say about this book except that it's a fun read for little kids. One benefit for parents... it allows the kids to almost watch the movie, just quieter.

An avid Eeyore fan, this shold be one of my favorites. However, I find that it's just too wordy for a children's book. As an Eeyore collector, a great addition to my collection, as a chidlren's book collector...well, at least it adds to my collection.
