This is a pretty faithful adaptation of the Tim Burton movie Alice in Wonderland. A girl falls into a rabbit hole and finds herself in an alternate universe where an evil queen has taken control of the land through fear of her animals the Bandersnatch and the Jabberwocky. In this world animals can talk and fight. Being insane seems to be a plus. Alice becomes the heroine she needs to be and saves this strange world.

There are certain drawbacks to the graphic novel form. Some of the amazing visual experiences from the movie are lost and some of the scenes seem almost cut short. There is nothing added into this book. In the end this is a faithful and really well drawn adaptation. The overall look and feel is maintained. But, if you have seen the movie there isn't going to be anything different, or anything added in the graphic novel. Has a great “making of”, section at the back of the book.

The pictures in this book were amazing! Not a lot of reading, but mostly looking at the pictures and knowing the story. Each picture tells the story so you don't really need words. It's like a comic book. Was kind of like watching a movie. I can see why kids like these type of books
