Brian Fitts

When French bishop is sent to Greenland he has no idea what he is getting into. The only Christian there is the wife of Eirik the red and his job is the conversion of the islanders who haven't any interest in the Christian faith.

He finds a group of bloodthirsty men who force him to come along on their hunts, both of animals and men!

I enjoyed this book which shows someone battling against the pagan beliefs as well as dreadful weather conditions. Our protagonist shows that like all of us he is susceptible to human flaws and foibles.
