I have found this to be a good book to plan a trip to Japan. I have read this in conjunction with reading another travel guide and websites to ensure I get views from different perspectives, and found it to be useful. A few more pictures would have been good.

This book covers the various cruises, cruise lines, ports of entry, ports visited, and excursions. It is thorough but not cumbersome. This is an excellent book for anyone interested in an Alaskan cruise. The maps, photos, and tables are very helpful.½

Borrowed this book from the library to assist in planning a trip to Colorado. The guide was very helpful and accurate.

The best handheld-size maps of NYC. Focused, not distracting with useless facts. It gets you where you want to go.

Fodor's always does an excellent job, and this is no exception. I was really excited this is an updated 2022 edition as well. However, the Savannah section was all the same as the 2020 Savannah only publication, so wasn't able to glean anything new for my purposes.

Great book for prepping for a trip to Savannah and compiling your list of Must See's!

Fodor's Travel Guides are always full of information. The books have recommendations on where to stay, what to eat, what to buy and what to see. I will be going to Norway in 2022 on a cruise and I also do genealogy so this edition has lots of ideas for me. Published in 2020.

Surely this was helpful when visiting Vienna.

This is a thorough review of tourism areas in Arizona. The book covers different areas and sites within the regions of Arizona. Restaurants and hotels are reviewed. Activities, cultural events, and sport locations are identified. I found the book helpful and educational.

The text was pretty good, but it didn't have enough photographs (color or otherwise) to please me - at least in the ebook format.

Solid information about sites with added content about cultural bits and history. This would be a heavy carry for the non eBook reader. The authors certainly haven't left many stones unturned and there is a good variety of big ticket stops and things the average person might miss.

Really needs an updated version!

The perfect companion in South Africa. This guide brings all the great sights vividly to life with color photos and concise history and ancedotes. Detailed.

Lots of information. Not enough pictures or maps for a travel guide.

Fodor’s is my go-to travel guide company, and they did not disappoint with a comprehensive review of all of the city’s attractions. Thank you for once again pointing out highlights that I would not have known about alone!½

A pretty good guidebook, but not detailed enough to give information about my life in Bermuda as a 6 year old, and going to school in Port Royal. However, it is a good guide for tourist, and I was able to find a place that I might want to stay in and to visit places other than Port Royal.

This guide was useful to a first time visitor to the Yucatan, comprehensive and not overwhelming with information. It is light weight and a convenient size to carry around.

I was disappointed that it has nothing about Campeche, at the least the parts between Cuidad de Campeche and Merida. Some of the best Maya sites are there.

The guide is light on hotel listings too. For example there was no mention of Chable, an upscale resort near Merida.½

outstanding guide for walking the streets of Boston. Multiple maps and great details about neighborhoods. This is the slim guide to bring with you.

An okay travel guide book. High-level and brief essentials on the possible sights with lots of little tidbits here and there. A good addition to travel planning, but I would not use this as my primary guide. I've decided I strongly prefer the regular orange Fodor's travel guides.

Quick useful guide. Condensed and straight to the point.

Very brief view into some of the hotels, restaurants, excursions, and activities of the aforementioned islands. Concise and to the point. Not much, but to be fair, there is not that much there.

Very useful. Comprehensive and used many recommendations. Always a been a fan of Fodor's guides.

Informative and accessible travel guide focused on Rome, Venice, and select parts of Northern Italy. This edition by Fodor's also has a very useful tearaway map of Rome. I enjoyed the practical advice and mini articles (especially about finding good food). Comprehensive but easy-to-navigate and use. This book has been a huge help in planning my trip to Italy.
