Trish Francese-Hunt

A young Italian man migrates to Australa and tries to make a better life for himself. His wife follows a number of years later and the children are born. The story follows the lives of one of the girls as she relates the difficulties within the family and then her own challenges as she marries into a family that is not ideal. Plot is great but the literary merit is not there. This is merely a narration of a story not a true novel that works with the emotions and leads the reader along the way. Could have been so much better. Once again you learn about someone's life and the hopeless situtions that are somehow overcome… (meer)
