When a relative is grappling with mental illness, it can impact the entire family. Many of us have experienced this stark reality firsthand. Frank’s memoir of her son’s struggle with psychosis casts a spotlight on these challenges. It’s a sad and compelling story, but the writing could have been more engaging. There was something about the overall flow of the book that didn’t quite work for me.
