Penelope Gardner-Chloros

Penelope Gardner-Chloros is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Linguistics and Communication, Birkbeck, University of London. Her publications include Language Selection and Switching in Strasbourg (1991) and Vernacular Literacy: a Re-evaluation (with Tabouret-Keller, Le Page and Varro, toon meer 1997). She is a founding member of the LIDES group, which has set up the first database of bilingual texts. She has published widely on code-switching and on her other field of interest, Terms of Address, in sociolinguistic journals and books. toon minder
