The best worst fanfiction there ever was.

It's both 1-star for traditional quality of story telling and writing, yet 5-star in troll-lific hilarity. I especially like the animated abridged version by Internet Historian on YouTube. Basically, it's so bad I love it, but I think that's misleading on GoodReads, so I'm going with an averaged 3-stars. Great way to cheer up during a migraine. The comments on YouTube and reviews on GoodReads are also worth reading so we have a sense of community around this fine Internet treasure.

OK, I haven't lost my mind yet lol but this one was such a breath of fresh air, I don't even know how I lived as a proud Potterhead without this precious pearl until now 😱

I won't read this. Ever, but the absolutely brilliant reviews here on Goodreads combined with the dramatic readings on YouTube made me laugh out loud for a few hours.

I am one of the ones that believe that My Immortal is an elaborate satire. Everything about it, to the perfect protagonist, the writing with such misspellings it's hard to believe that even a nine-year old would make that many mistakes, and the side narrative of Tara's own life, her friendship with Raven and begging for positive reviews. The story is an absolute ride. I highly recommend going to Youtube and watching Internet Historian's dramatic recreation of it.

Utter, utter crap. Singularly the worst book (if you can even call it a book).

My ribs are hurting from laughing so hard xDD I can't believe someone actually wrote that and posted it online for other people to read.

The good thing about this though, is that it made me less self conscious about my own writing so thank you Tara for the boost of confidence!

I truly hope this was written as a troll-fic and not an actual fanfic though, because if it was an actual fanfic then the world is more screwed up than I originally thought

I can't. Stop. Laughing.

Just some quotes for my darling friends:

It's still unknown whether this was a trollfic, or if the girl was serious when she was writing it. Frankly, I'm siding with this article here and think that, if it was a trollfic, then Tara is the Master of Trolls. Too much work and dedication went into not only butchering the English language, but also in keeping up with two different personas and accounts, the different the stories, the "falling out" of her and "Raven"... It's too horribly bad to be true, yes, but I like to think that it IS true.

Also you guys need to watch the videos on their channel. They are so pathetically funny, I end up in stitches every time.

Those poor, poor girls.

I was hoping that this was going to be an awfully good read. By "awfully" I mean actually awful but good. I had hoped that I could rate it five stars and say it was really funny even though it was really bad. Nope. It's just bad. Let's not even talk about the writing, because obviously it's parody fan fiction. Way worse than the writing is the ridiculous humor. This wasn't funny at all. I may have chuckled twice the entire time. Not nearly enough to make up for how ridiculous and asinine the story is.

In conclusion, don't believe those that say it's funny. It's not. It's super corny and not in a funny way. It's garbage and not good enough for just lols. That's all I wanted. Lols. No lols to be had. Except for maybe how instead of saying Oh my God, they say Oh my Satan. It's only funny the first few times though and I just ruined it for you. I just did you a favor.
