I read this and couldn't find it on Goodreads, and so it got to be the first one I had to manually add.

Gokovali doesn't specify in the book where Ephesus is, so it was something of a game to piece together as I read along whether this was Greece or a neighboring country. The pictures of ruins look Greek but not Greek--aha! It turns out it is Turkey!

I've had all sorts of exposure in school to photos, art, and history of Greece, but never Turkey, so this book was a treat. It's goes in the "short and sweet" category and I regard it as an introduction and I'm bound to read more on Turkey and its ruins such as Ephesus (a longer book by the same author is already added to Goodreads, so I can definitely find a copy and follow up).… (meer)
