I thought the material was very interesting, but the book as a whole was only fine. I enjoyed reading it, just I felt that such interesting material should have made for a more interesting book.

Pretty much for those who have a knowledge of Istanbul, unlike, say, City of Quartz which can be read by anyone even if you have never been to LA.
