This was a bit all over the place. I think there were times when the authors were being too apologetic for even writing about women's literature on the war, making sure their arguments did not take away from men's literature and their experience. While I understand what they mean, it happened too many times, almost implying that there's something wrong with focusing on non-combatant literature.
Besides that though there are other books that do a better job of explaining and analyzing women's literature from the Great War. Look up Angela Smith if that's what you're interested in.… (meer)

This anthology contains short stories, journalism and excerpts from memoirs and novels written by women before, during and after the First World War. The writers present include Virginia Woolf, Radclyffe Hall, Vera Brittain, Colette, and a number of less well-known European and North American women.
