With this book I made my way into the erotic world of Mr. Ray Gordon. At first it was difficult for me to digest the story of this book but by the time I got to the middle of it, I had already taken a liking to it.

In this debut novel, Ms. Gordon writes a tender love story splattered with lots of hot, melt your boots, lovin'.
Bunny, a single mom of three older kids, finds herself attracted to a hunky fireman who has the hots for her. Her past experiences influence her reluctance to make an emotional commitment to a man in whose profession her husband had lost his life. This is a tender journey of reawakening and discovery, both emotionally and sexually. Nothing is left to the imagination in this wonderfully crafted story of young love in adults just over their prime.

I love the way she works in Brent's toughly tender ways to woe Bunny out of her shell. This an easy, wonderful read. Just loved it.

Ray Gordon's reputation for erotic literature is legendary, and this is one of his finest novels. It contains the whole gamut of erotic practices, even including a smattering of erotic punishment and bondage amongst its torrid, quick-fire tale of a young woman who starts with routine entanglements but rapidly accelerates into the further reaches of experience. She experiments with surprising quantities of both male and female partners, always maintaining suspense and an air of deep paranormal mystery. A superb book.

RED HOT by author Solara Gordon is a sweet and sensual story.

Bunny, a single mother of three older kids, finds herself attracted to the next door fire station's fire chief.

Brent also feels the chemistry between them yet does not act on it. The circumstance around their first hot kiss is hilarious.

Bunny's previous experiences with dating is not good and she is reluctant to commit to a fireman. As her hsband was a fireman and lost his life along with her mother's in a fire.

And Brent's first experience with marriage was not good as well.

This story is liberally spiced with humor, pathos and heartfelt emotion. And I kept thinking how the author would bring these two characters together for their happily ever after.

You just can’t help but root for these two characters to get to their happy ending. I didn’t want the story to end just then. But who wants a good romance to end?

A beguiling and stirring romantic story that is sure to tug at readers’ heartstrings and leave them with a great big smile on their face at the unusual ending.

I loved it and recommend it to all readers of romance!

Ray Gordon is a truly prolific writer of erotic literature, and (assuming that he is, in fact, a unique person) his work covers a particularly wide range of styles. This book reaches further within the erotic genre than any of the others I have read, in that it eschews content in the form of a meaningful plot in favour of embarking on a wild romp through a quick-fire series of puns and other erotic misunderstandings that is quite breath-taking in its boldness. What plot there is centres on a secret agent Haynes Blond, and it is therefore a spoof on Ian Fleming's 'Bond' stories. Beyond that similarity, the characters are all arguably insane, interacting with each other in an essentially random way, linked only by their propensity for outrageous libidinous activity. Blond, in particular, seems incapable of meeting any female without exercising his 'principle parts' in any place that female will accommodate. It's way beyond the 'Carry On' principle, and well into the realms of slapstick. I found it rather unrelentingly jovial, but it will certainly be enjoyed by those who like a madcap ride through an unpredictable succession of erotic twists and turns.

Ray Gordon’s books can sometimes be a little variable, but this one is exceptionally good. It relates the sensual self-discovery of a woman whose ten-year marriage has never been exciting and is now very stale indeed. She compensates for this lack of excitement by throwing out her husband in order to embark on a torrential and exhausting programme of activities, both with all the men – of all ages – who are available to her and also with a number of women. The plot skilfully carries a high level of fast-moving intrigue, at the same time as being copiously studded with perfectly described encounters, mostly overlain with voyeuristic activities, and frequently stimulated by exercise of the punitive variety. A superb example of the genre.

Ray Gordon’s books are always good value. He writes very well, and has a sure-footed approach to providing a steady stream of erotically stimulating situations, with credible characters and scenarios that require only minimal suspension of belief. Dark Desires involves time travel, and whereas this device can easily lead to inconsistencies and an unwanted feeling of over-complexity, Gordon manages to avoid irritating the reader while managing to use the time-shifts to move the ‘stimulating action’ forward briskly. The reader is constantly provided with puzzles that seem only just out of reach of solutions. The sense of separation experienced by the principal character, Samantha, as a result of her time shifts adds a kind of voyeuristic thrill. Inclusion of a little consensual spanking in this story also adds to its appeal. One of Gordon’s best.
