This is a collection of short sci-fi stories that are diverse in terms of subject matter, writing style, & characters. The common thread is how people interact with technology. These stories were character-focused, but the plots were also unique & exciting.

The title story, "Early Adopter," was probably my favorite. The less-conventional writing style of this story really worked well to put us in the protagonist's shoes, making his actions towards the end all the more horrifying. It went in a direction I wasn't particularly expecting, but that made sense based on the characters & the world presented.

"Homonoia" & "The Emulated" were also quite strong. But all of the stories in this collection were enjoyable. Overall, I'd definitely recommend any sci-fi fan to read this, & I'd be interested in this author's other work.… (meer)
