On 54 pages, the then 14-year-old Sheindi documented the horror of the Holocaust. She was deported by the Nazis in the spring of 1944. Her family was murdered. At danger to her life, the girl recorded her traumatic experiences during the abduction, her time in the extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, and her time as a forced labourer. After 14 months, Sheindi and her older sister were liberated.
