The 2004 edition contains less vocabulary and exercises than the 2001 edition. It is a real bummer! This new 2004 edition is very confusing and difficult to use if you study independently. It is not at all self-explanatory.

It is designed to be used in class and is most useful this way, though it would still be useful to someone teaching themselves. If classes are not available to you I recommend Colloquial Czech by James Naughton.
