Dawn and Jewel move into a house with an overgrown back garden and an empty downstairs flat. Harlan and his wife are trying for a baby and all the fun in his life is gone. Enter the dancer who manages to entice Harlan and he makes the decision to tell his wife about his affair and move out. He moves into Dawn's downstairs flat. Dawn eventually falls for the good friend. The garden is a work in progress throughout the book and becomes a healing place for all.

Rather uninspired. There is nothing about the author that seems particularly noteworthy and her writing lacks a sense of purpose. Easy read but ultimately forgettable.
