The Basics and More Cookbook: A Compilation of 1100… door Virginia; Hoover Hoover, Elsie
I haven't tried anything in it, but it looks really good. I picked up the Revised Edition with 1300 recipes in it from Yoder's Country Market in Bull's Gap, TN. It's full of simple and hearty recipes that that have a good bit of a down-home bent. Directions such as "heat the milk until you can't hold a finger in it" hearken back to a simpler time when people made do with what they had on hand.
